Open Mastodon search
Reach Mastodon’s web search through a small URL-based workflow.
Source and iCloud metadata checked. Not device-tested by Tech2Apple. Opens Apple’s sharing page; nothing installs automatically.
Before you start
Apple Shortcuts, a browser, and internet access. You may need to customize the Mastodon server URL and sign in to that server.
Compatibility
The creator documents URL handling and a web-opening branch. Check the actions and server destination on your device; runtime behavior has not been tested by Tech2Apple.
What it can access or change
Opens a web destination. Your Mastodon server and browser handle sign-in and searches; do not embed passwords in a shared shortcut.
Set it up
- Review the creator’s source page and its action list.
- Open the iCloud link and inspect the shortcut before adding it.
- Check the server URL and customize it for your Mastodon account if needed.
- Run it to reach web search and sign in through the browser if required.
Make it easy to reach
On iPhone, launch from Shortcuts or add a widget or Home Screen entry where supported. On Mac, consider the menu bar or a Quick Action if the workflow supports that input. Syncing a shortcut does not guarantee every action works on every device.
